I am currently working on internal teaching resources for the Sixth Form of Michaela Community School. They teach OCR A Level Religious Studies, and I produce a bespoke booklet to accompany each lesson. Last year, this school achieved GCSE results 4 times the national average.

Last year, I taught in a Grammar School in the Borough of Bexley. I taught IB Philosophy and lower school RS.

I graduated in 2017, spent eight months in a Buddhist monastery, and for a while considered ordination. I now look forward to finding careers which really promote others` wellbeing.

I am a grounded, open and conscientious person. I love living in large communities and being around people. I am a regular practitioner of yoga and meditation.

I have a very non-judgemental and encouraging manner, though my teaching methods are rigorous.

Availability: Monday - Friday: 4pm onwards

Willing to travel: 4 miles

Experience: I taught full time for one year, and now write educational material.

The sessions will begin by establishing the tutee`s areas of weakness, before finding creative, engaging and effective ways to strengthen those areas.

In general, half the session is spent on understanding a concept, and half on analysis or exam technique. I frequently check that the tutee understands what I am explaining, and give tasks to reinforce their grasp of concepts; the session is always two-way.

I broadly follow the teaching method outlined by Tutoring Standards.
