Information about Oriana

I`m a young working professional based in the East of England. Learning languages has always been something I enjoy and take an active interest in, especially if it involves the chance to travel and explore different countries and cultures. I am keen to pass on my love of language-learning to others who want to improve their English - whether as a beginner starting out or a near-native speaker looking to brush up on key vocabulary or hold a casual conversation. I will aim to tailor each lesson to your particular needs, with a different weighting of written, reading, speaking and listening exercises, depending on what aspects of the language you wish to study.
In my free time I enjoy a wide range of activities - learning languages continues to be one of them (such as French, German and Italian). Other hobbies and interests of mine include art and design, keeping my mind busy with general knowledge and word puzzles, reading for pleasure, singing in a local choir, baking, and going for long walks with my husband. There is always a reason to stay active and engaged!

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: My experience has been in teaching assistance roles in school environments. This has allowed me to use my abilities to help students on an individual basis and ensure they understand the teacher`s lesson material. I have experience working with students with special educational needs, both at university and in a specialist school. My areas of expertise include knowledge of autism spectrum disorder, dyslexia and dyspraxia. During my time at university I was an academic mentor to several students with disabilities and helped them achieve success with their studies - this included note-taking, proofreading for grammar, researching study materials, and help with exams. I have experience and knowledge of the TEFL approach to teaching and am happy to use this in my classes.
