“Sarah was a highly valued member of the Tutor Associates team in New York City for three years. I highly recommend her as a compassionate educator who is highly skilled in helping her students achieve goals and positive results.

“Sarah worked across a wide range of ages and levels through Tutor Associates. She had a particular knack for creatively approaching challenges and adapting her approach to fit the specific needs of each student.

“Sarah also interacted seamlessly and effectively with parents, helping them understand the immediate needs and bigger picture of programs. She has been strongly endorsed by many parents and students, and we are sad to lose her to London.”

";Sarah has been a real help to my daughter in preparing her for her SAT exams and preparing her college application on the common app platform. My daughter is currently schooling in the UK and Sarah was able to help her navigate the common app process and tailor her application to showcase her unique situation as an American schooling abroad. She was extremely thorough in researching the different colleges my daughter could apply to that would fit her academic and extra curricular needs. She was consistent in providing us with reports on our daughter’s progress with her SAT preparation and was always making suggestions on how she could improve. Sarah has in a short amount of time been instrumental in our daughter’s improved work ethic overall.";

";Sarah has been a great tutor for our daughter, who got on very well with her. Our daughter was able to develop more confidence in tackling complex math questions, and has greatly improved in her school work. Her reading also improved and her understanding of the punctuated stories also got better. Sarah was professional and patient, and overall a very effective tutor. Thank you, Sarah, for working so diligently with our daughter!";

“Sarah tutored our daughter, Anna, for two years. At the start of Latin, Anna found Latin very challenging and laborious, and she had difficulty memorizing all that was required. Sarah was so kind and patient with Anna and provided support and expertise that allowed Anna to see patterns and build her confidence. Anna ended up loving Latin and I have no doubt that Sarah`s support was a major contributor to Anna`s ultimate success.”

“Sarah is an incredible teacher! She is extremely patient, smart, and is able to simplify the problems so they become more manageable. I worked with her for a few months in preparation for the GRE. She is very knowledgeable and hardworking. She went above and beyond and fully supported me to be successful in my studies and most importantly motivated me and did not allow me to give up on myself. I felt lucky to have found a tutor who was able to explain the problems and help me develop key strategies to excel in my studies. I highly recommend Sarah.”

";Sarah worked with my daughter for two years, providing excellent high school level Latin and English support. Sarah has a wonderful teaching style, is extremely knowledgeable and cares about her student’s success. Sarah is a pleasure to work with and I recommend her highly.";

~Parent of High School Latin and English Student, NYC

“Sarah tutored my middle school daughter in Latin. She was an excellent tutor. Sarah is patient, kind and approachable and made Latin fun. Sarah knows and is passionate about her subject, but also clearly enjoys teaching young students. My daughter went from hating Latin to loving Latin, and her grade improved, too. Thank you, Sarah! I would highly recommend Sarah as a tutor.”

Experience: I recently relocated to London on a Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Artist Visa. Previously, I was working as an expert-level tutor for Tutor Associates, a top academic and test prep tutoring company in New York City. I worked for Tutor Associates for three years as both an academic and test prep tutor. I tutored the SAT, ACT, SSAT, ISEE, SAT Subject Tests in Latin and Literature, AP Latin, academic Latin, literature, writing and grammar. Since moving to London, I have expanded my tutoring subjects to include American university consulting, maths, drama and culture. I have most experience tutoring students aged 9-18, though I love working with younger kids as well, with whom I have had experience teaching theatre, dance and art in a classroom setting. Prior to working at Tutor Associates, I worked for Time In Children`s Arts Initiative, where I taught opera and visual arts-based classes to children aged 5-11 in New York City public schools.

I enjoy working with students to confront the challenges of a subject and helping them find ways to make the subject enjoyable and relatable. This is particularly the case when studying Latin, where there is so much grammar to memorise, but the rewards of reading texts by authors such as Ovid and Virgil are so great. I believe I am an effective tutor because I am patient, encouraging, have good communication skills with both students and parents, and have a sense of humour. I do not get frustrated if a student does not understand something straight away; rather, I look for an alternative way to explain what my student may not understand. I remain positive and encouraging until we eventually learn together how to make the subject more appealing. When working as a university admissions counsellor, I love learning about students’ interests and helping them to express the best versions of themselves in their essays, applications and interviews. My tuition has resulted in improved test scores, higher grades and many successful high school and university placements. My main goal, however, is always to foster a long-term love of learning.

Sarah was a very good teacher and she helped me a lot, although we didn`t have many lessons I definitely saw an improvement in my ACT scores.
