Hi I am Alys. I am a qualified primary school teacher with experience in EYFS, KS1 and KS2. I have an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Microbiology. Then I specialised in teaching science during my masters degree.

As a teacher, I have an in-depth knowledge of the primary school curriculum. I have planned and delivered lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students as well as classes. This included planning for students with English as an additional language as well as following individual education, health, and care plans. I have previous experience in tutoring. However, more recently I have been focusing on working one to one with pupils in my own classroom, helping them to fulfil their own potentials.

I strongly believe that the best lessons are those that are interactive, varied and fun. Children learn best when they are engaged, happy and confident. I tailor my tutoring to the interests, learning styles and needs of my students.

I can tutor all the primary school subjects and particularly English, maths, and science. I am able to help students who are struggling to keep up and challenge those who need stretching.

I have an enhanced current DBS.
