Emma has been working with my Y12 son since September on his A Level French and his confidence has increased enormously. Grammar has always been a weak spot for him but with Emma`s help this is slowly improving. College grades have now jumped to a C from an E. Thanks Emma!

Emma, is a fantastic Spanish tutor, within a few months of working with my daughter she helped her to move up a grade and class. I could see the confidence emma brought out in my daughter, she has a calm but reassuring presence. I have found my lessons with Emma as enjoyable as they have been productive. Emma has enabled me to up my game in the two areas - spoken Spanish and grammar - that I felt were soft spots. In less than two months, this has bumped up my predicted "A" Level grade from A to A*, which is hugely helpful for my UCAS application. Emma is patient and unhurried, which gives me the confidence get the bottom of anything that I`m not sure of without feeling that I`m wasting her time or that I`m being stupid. I`ve particularly appreciated Emma`s complete command of Spanish grammar and the honest feedback that she gives me.

Brilliant! Emma has been amazing. My son (year 10) is having weekly online French lessons with Emma to help him prepare for the GCSE. He was struggling to engage at school but thoroughly enjoys the lessons with Emma and continues to grow in confidence and ability. The lessons are always on time, well structured and the quality of teaching outstanding. Throughout, Emma has been quick and extremely helpful in her response to my queries. Time and money very well spent.

Emma is an excellent teacher having taught both my daughters. Both gained excellent grades, A and a 9 at GCSE level. Her lessons were well enjoyed and stimulated their interest fully, being both engaging and fun. Emma explains things clearly and has great patience, knowledge and dedication. Strongly recommend Emma and very grateful for all the help and support she gave us.

Emma is an excellent teacher and makes my time with her really enjoyable. She knows the A level Syllabus very well and her sessions are extremely well planned. Her French is of course fluent, but as an English person who speaks French she is perfectly positioned to understand the tricky aspects of learning the language which is very helpful to me.

My daughter started seeing Emma at the start of Year 10 when she had been learning GCSE Spanish at school for a year and it wasn`t going well, to the point where my daughter was all for dropping it; she wasn`t engaging with lessons and at that time wasn`t getting on with her teacher; and was predicted a pass grade on the Foundation paper. She was very reluctant to even see a tutor. We visited Emma for 18 months, initially once a week, then after about a term, once a fortnight. We only stopped because of Lockdown, the plan had been for my daughter to see Emma right up to the exams. My daughter did have a couple of virtual lessons during lockdown until it was confirmed that the GCSEs had been cancelled. These worked well too. By the time we stopped seeing Emma, my daughter was fully engaged, enjoying lessons in school and being entered for the Higher paper. She did very well in her mock exams. Emma was extremely patient. She managed to work out the the gaps in my daughter`s learning so she could focus on what my daughter needed, providing relevant materials and practice. My daughter was also able to ask questions about work set by school. The one-to-one was invaluable, especially as my daughter is partially deaf and is dyslexic, so no mean achievement on Emma`s part to get my daughter re-engaged and wanting to strive for good grades! Even though my daughter found some parts hard, there was always good humour. Emma was flexible, helpful and supportive. I would definitely recommend her.

I started with Emma at the beginning of September this year as a beginner - in my late sixties I might add and she is very encouraging and positive. I actually believe I might just make myself understood on my next trip to France. She is definitely giving me the confidence I lack to at least attempt speaking French and the lessons are really enjoyable.

Emma responded very promptly to our enquiry about help with GCSE Spanish and we were very pleased with her assessment of our daughter`s needs. She`s easy to work with, reliable and very capable, making sure that the pace is right for Anna. Lessons take place in comfortable, relaxed surroundings.
