My approach is thorough and flexible, and I aim make lessons fun and engaging whilst giving solid technical foundations, an understanding of music theory and the ability to improvise. I aim to foster a lifelong love of music in all my pupils. I introduce students to a wide range of musical styles and approaches, enabling them to develop into well-rounded, creative and independent musicians.

Experience: I am a professional freelance violinist and violist working with a number of ensembles that include the Philharmonia, the Halle and BBC SSO.

I currently teach at Graveney School, and have been teaching privately for 15 years. I have a 100% pass rate for ABRSM exams.

I have taught chamber music at the Purcell School (specialist music school), Dartington International Summer School and MusicWorks (summer course for exceptionally talented young people). I have also coached the strings of the Blackheath Orchestra, Cornwall Youth Orchestra and Warrington Youth Orchestra.

I am very involved with musical outreach, with recent projects including songwriting workshops in Leicester Prison, music workshops with 2000 children in Kenya, working in special schools with children with SEN, and helping children in Peckham create their own music with the Multi-Story Orchestra.
