I have just completed a Master`s in Modern European History at the University of Cambridge and my undergraduate degree was in History and German at the University of Oxford.

I have been tutoring since 2014, teaching pupils aged 8-18 in a variety of subjects. I most commonly tutor English, History, Latin, and German, as well as provide general tuition, including maths, for 11+ and Common Entrance/13+ entrance exams. I do tutor subjects for GCSE and A Level as well, predominantly in my specialist subjects, though if you are looking for more general GCSE tuition it is worth getting in touch with me to discuss your individual requirements.

I always ensure that I create engaging lessons for my tutees and get them interested in their work. While I usually work towards specific exam or achievement goals with tutees I think it is equally important that they enjoy education and find a more general fulfilment in learning as well!

Availability: I am based in Shepherds Bush and will have lots of availability from the beginning of March. It is always worth getting in touch with me to see if we can work out an arrangement in relation to scheduling.

Experience: I have had significant previous experience tutoring, having helped pupils with revision for GCSEs and Common Entrance, as well as having volunteered at a homework club run in Hammersmith library. As a tutor I try to make work as stress free as possible for my tutees. I believe the best way to help a child learn is by encouraging them to take greater interest in these subjects and acquire more self-motivation. I am also very patient and am comfortable adapting my methods of teaching to the individual needs of tutees in order to help them learn effectively and enjoy doing so.
