After attending Winchester College and Cambridge University, where I was made a college scholar, I have worked as a private tutor and educational consultant since 2008.
My experience is extensive, well over 1,000 hours both online and internationally. Previous students have won scholarships to Winchester, places at Eton, Harrow, Marlborough, and all competitive London day Schools.

In the last two years I have decided to specialise in 11+ preparation and 13+ humanities
preparation. I have created a home-schooling system designed to prepare potential scholars in the
humanities. This system adapts to their individual interests and thereby enables me to create a
customised scheme of study. It covers English, General, Geography, History and R.S

I believe the aim of all good tutoring must be self-sufficiency all my work is directed to this end.
There is no greater satisfaction than watching a student take over as they near their exams. This is
something I see happening time and again. This entails discussing learning styles, so that the student understands not only what to improve but how they can improve it. Cracking this code leads to a self-motivated student who will go beyond what is expected of them.

Availability: Due to demand I teach by Skype for regular hourly sessions during term time, and travel residentially for a minimum of 4 hours during the holidays. I`m very flexible and usually find that a combination of these two methods is best.
