Information about Kumar
I am a Civil Engineering Project Manager in Full time employment. I love Maths and performed very well in Maths at every stage GCSE, Advanced Level, University and at work. I am 53 years old and I am married with 2 children. My children too achieved A* grades GCSE & A Level mathematics and studying at Warwick and Newcastle Universities. I am a proud Darlington resident and I have lived in Darlington since 1992.
Because of my work experience in the real world, I generally relate Maths application to real world experiences that makes student to understand the concept and this makes their learning experience easier. I encourage and motivate my students to perform better in maths through activities and homework. I do help undergraduate students from time to time with their Engineering mathematics, Analytical techniques (Maths) and Structures and materials for engineering students at University during term and out of term time.
I first asses the student on his/her ability on Maths and discuss what he/she wants to achieve and set some achievable goals and follow a structure to improve Maths skills and perform well not only in the class room but also in the examinations. I do not have a magic wand to perform miracles. I work with the student to improve their grades by explaining the concept/ theory in a clear logical manner and motivate and encourage the student to perform well in maths. I provide plenty of module exam board specific materials for GCSE and A Level students. My students are expected to do some work between lessons. There is no substitute for practicing maths questions and solving maths problems. There were occasions where students came with a specific request to perform well in the exam, I have helped them to improve their grades at the exam through rigorous revision techniques going through past exam questions.

Feedback For Kumar (3)
Kumar has helped me with my maths AS. I have found Kumar helpful and profesional and he has a good knowledge of the content. I recommend him and will be seeking his help again.
I am studying mechanical engineering at university and came to Kumar for help with the numerical methods module. Kumar is a very good tutuor who knows the subject well. He asks the areas which I would like to study with him and then takes the time to prepare and gather material prior to our tutoring sessions that help to understand the topic more. I would not hesitate to recommend Kumar as a maths tutor.
My daughter Sarah and I would like to thank Kumar for his Maths knowledge, skills and brilliant teaching. Kumar knows the subject well. He is an experienced Tutor, We hope to see him soon. He has helped my daughter understand the subject and specific topics and given her confidence to apply her learning to carry on to achieve her access to higher education to do her degree. Kumar went that extra mile by dropping off work and asking for information to be emailed to him to support Sarah more. I have no hesitation in recommending Kumar as a perfect professional maths Tutor. Kind regards Deborah Dunn.
