I began playing the saxophone at the age of 9. I was part of the Kirklees Music Centre Wind Orchestra, Swing Band and Reed Orchestra, which involved tours of Germany, France and Poland. In 2010 I began my degree in Classical Saxophone at Leeds College of Music, studying with Sarah Markham. I graduated in 2013 with a First Class degree and went on to a further year of postgraduate study at the Royal Northern College Music, where I received a Master of Music degree with distinction.
I tailor each one-to-one lesson to suit the abilities of the individual. I make sure that I am working on the areas which the pupil may be struggling with in order to fix problems early on, resulting in better all-round playing. Lessons are practical based, but I offer music theory lessons separately. All ages and abilities welcome.

Experience: Whilst being in full-time education I have simultaneously taught several students privately. These students have ranged from 13-55 years of age and have specifically been beginners. This has given me more experience with this particular level of playing, whereas my higher education has brought my own musicianship to a professional level, giving me confidence in teaching up to a higher level also.Contact this Tutor
