I am a second year A-level student studying Biology, Chemistry and Maths at Queen Marys College, with predicted grades of AAA. I have undertaken one week of work experience in a local secondary school and I am looking to offer Maths and Science tutoring up to and including GCSE level.
At GCSE level I have achieved 3 grade 9s and 4 grade 8s. Achieving this required a lot of work, and as a student myself I appreciate that new concepts are not always easy to understand. Therefore I am very patient and able to adapt the pace of explanation to suit individuals.
I believe that the key to success is to be strategic in revision. By being able to understand and unpick past exam questions and mark schemes, you will be able to revise exactly what exam boards will be looking for, and this will make higher grades much more easy to achieve. I intend to help by explaining further how the most effective revision can be undertaken, alongside identifying and addressing areas where knowledge and understanding can be improved.
Availability: Flexible across weekends and weekday evenings.

Experience: In addition to one week of work experience in a secondary school, I also mentored two Year 10 students once a week who were undertaking a GCSE known as a higher project. This is 100% coursework and requires students to write a 5000 word report on a subject of their choice, and to do a presentation of their findings. Both students achieved grade A for their projects, which represents a final mark of over 80%. Contact this Tutor
