I have a great deal of personal experience in studying for and taking mathematics exams.

I believe the first step is to build confidence in the students mathematical abilities, then build a firm foundation of understanding of the principles needed to tackle the problems that come up in an exam paper- this is easier than the student might think! Looking at the problems as a whole can be overwhelming, and often classroom teaching doesn`t help with this aspect. This is where one on one tutoring, where problems are broken down according to the individual`s needs, can really benefit.
