Information about Ilia
I have graduated from Moscow State University in 2019 with the qualifications of Chemist and Lecturer in Chemistry upon completion.
I am currently working on my PhD thesis in Radiochemistry.
I have always been keen on teaching and exploring new things: I beleive that chemistry shows us how beautiful and spellbinding the world is, especially at the molecular level. It is a true pleasure to share this passion with my students. When I see the sparkle in their eyes when one more miraculous thing about how the world works is revealed, I feel very happy and reassured that I have chosen the right path.
I particularly enjoy helping students understand concepts and topics they are struggling with.
Besides my professional path, I enjoy studying philosophy. Natural sciences show us how the world works, and philosophy can show us the questions and the possible answers for who we are, and, most importantly, for how we think.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I have 10 years of tutoring experience. I began tutoring while still at high school: I was helping younger students to prepare for their intermediate exams. Since then I have become a professional tutor and have been awarded a qualification of Lecturer in Chemistry.
I teach privately using modern distant educational technologies that fulfill all the requirements of my students` syllabi, such as visualising chemical reactions and understanding theoretical concepts.
I have been teaching at several high schools in Moscow. My responsibilities included delivering lectures in theoretical chemistry, teaching the basics of chemical experiment and coaching students for their final exams (corresponding to IGSCE). My students have successfully applied for BSc. and MSc. programmes in international and domestic universities.
I also have experience of teaching Chemistry at IB-level.
In total, I have successfully assisted more than 50 students on their way to higher levels of education.
