Information about Alex

I feel any subject can be loved even with someone who hates it. I originally couldn`t stand maths and slowly learned how enjoyable it is. I am here to help project this drive onto my students so they excel in exams and down the road in later life. From my diverse background of music and mathematical education; I try to bridge the gap between an individual creative spark and logical thinking. My experience in teaching has taught me that everybody learns differently and in their own unique way to which I adapt accordingly. My passion for music and maths is why I love to teach others of various levels. I am driven to ensure my students learn and progress, from a simple chord progression or numerical sums to a complex guitar solo or mathematical integral. I am here to help and apply my understanding, aiding students every step of the way. Through what I have learnt in maths I have gone on to study Engineering at Coventry University, where I am still learning more about the subject of maths and its complexity. Alongside this, my musical knowledge has also meant that I have released an album on multiple platforms only last year. My guitar and song-writing skills has led to me play all across London through various gigs and busking. Furthermore, my understanding of the musical industry is extensive, in a small team at college I organised and sold out a music event in a London venue. As the Finance Manager of the team, my mathematical skills were proved vital. I feel my experience in different subjects of maths and music has allowed me to have a wider outlook on the way things are taught, and to acknowledge that everyone has a unique way of learning.
