Information about Haajrah

I am from Mauritius and I have graduated with a Merit in LLM in International Development Law and Human Rights at the University of Warwick in January 2018. I obtained a 2.1 for my Bachelor of Law(Hons) at King`s College London.

For my A levels, I obtained A* in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and A in Further Mathematics. I was also ranked 9th overall on the Science Side and 6th in Mathematics at national level, making me eligible for a scholarship from the Government of Mauritius which is based on academic merit only.

I am French-speaking and very fluent in English. I excelled French A level with A and distinction in speaking. I am also conversant in other languages as well such as Urdu. I am a jovial person and very enthusiastic when it comes to teaching and sharing knowledge. Also, I am patient with slow-learners. Being well-organised, I always plan all my work and rarely lag behind.

Availability: I am quite flexible with my timetable. Please contact me for further info on my availability.

Willing to travel: 50 miles

Experience: For 7 months, I taught students aged 12-15 years in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology, at an institution in Mauritius.

While dealing with students from different social background, I developed different techniques and devised incentives to encourage learning especially among slow-learners. I also introduced a new concept of preparation and revision which led to an increase in the pass rate.

I also taught debating skills to primary school children, prisoners and year 10 students. I have been a mentor for students of Tower Bridge Primary School in London on a volunteer programme SHINE.

Moreover, I helped a GCSE student in French in which she obtained A and taught a year 3 student in English and Maths.

Haajrah has been a great tutor for my daughter, her French is excellent and she has helped my daughter through her French GCSE and prepared her well for A-level French.

Haajrah was great at developing vocabulary and an understanding of the language. My daughter gained A* in her speaking and writing course work and we are now just waiting for the final GCSE grade. We are not worried at all thanks to Haajrah`s hard work and support.

I would definitely recommend her as she is a dedicated, knowledgable, hardworking tutor who knows how to get the best out of her students.
