Experience: I am a qualified teacher of French, Spanish and Italian, with 17 years experience in secondary school teaching Y7 through to A level pupils. I also have many years experience as a 1-1 tutor, especially for pupils working towards their GCSEs who have consistently achieved excellent results above their predicted grades with my help.
I am very empathetic, and enjoy finding the most effective way to accelerate my pupils` language learning. One-to-one lessons with me are an extremely efficient way to learn - I focus on the needs and goals of the student and strive to make lessons engaging and fun. I generally give pupils consolidating homework after each lesson which aids and advances their learning and exposes any misunderstandings.
I studied French and Italian at university, and then lived abroad in Spain and France for several years before studying for a PGCE in French and Spanish.
