I am an experienced maths teacher who understands how students can struggle to keep up in a busy maths classroom and can help to build confidence in young people who are feeling overwhelmed. I have an enhanced DBS certificate.

Using a friendly and positive approach to teaching that works from where the learner is with their understanding I can quickly help a student to make visible progress. Maths is often about building confidence as well as factual knowledge. A one-to-one tutoring session can help a young person to catch up with their classmates and gives them a feeling of pride and enjoyment. Tutoring can relieve the stress and pressure of GCSE and A Level Maths by consolidating classroom teaching. I am a qualified Maths Teacher with 16 years classroom experience teaching students in Secondary and Sixth Form. I have up to date skills and a full understanding of the current maths curriculum. I have taught students aiming for A* grades and those who are struggling to secure a C grade. At A level I have a thorough knowledge of the Core and Applied Modules. I have also tutored Primary aged students in year 5 and 6 for catch up sessions. For adult learners wishing to take Maths GCSE as a pathway to higher education or for career enhancement I can offer tutoring and advice.
