I am currently in my final year of a history doctorate at Queen Mary, University of London. I specialise in early modern history, particularly colonial and South Asian history. However, I am familiar with and have taught on a wide range of subjects, from medieval to modern history. My BA was in English and History, and I am well qualified to teach English to GCSE and A-level students.

I teach undergraduate students at Queen Mary, and am therefore very familiar with universities’ marking criteria. I place a strong emphasis on essay structure and writing skills, and am happy to proofread assignments. I also enjoy teaching younger students, from GCSE upwards.

My tuition is structured around you. This is why I offer the first session for free: to discuss your goals and see whether I am the right fit for you. Whether it be to familiarise yourself with a topic, work on writing skills or cram for an exam, I can give you the tuition you need.

Availability:
I am very flexible about working hours, so we can work to your timeline. I am available evenings, weekends and at certain times in the working week.

I am happy to teach anywhere in West London and Zones 1 and 2. Please let me know if you’re interested in teaching outside of these areas. I am also available for online tuition.

Experience:
I have been a Teaching Associate at Queen Mary for the past two years, leading seminars, marking assignments and discussing modules with students one-on-one.

Before Queen Mary I completed an MA in Early Modern History at King’s College London, where I passed with Distinction and received the Early Modern History Prize for highest overall mark. My BA was at the University of Southampton, where I received a First in English and History.
