Information about Jamie

Hi, I’m Jamie- a second year medical student at UCL with 3 A*’s in Biology, Chemistry and Maths.

Having recently gone through the new and updated GCSE and A level process myself I completely understand the position that secondary school students are in. I see this as an **ADVANTAGE** as it has allowed me to see from a student`s perspective, what is effective and useful.

My tailored tutoring approach involves customised practice questions incorporating research proven methods of learning: spaced repetition, active recall and interleaving. Frequent progress checks alongside access to lots of questions from **EXAMPRO** ensures that my students get more than enough practice before exams.
I also offer group booking discounts @ £30 pp p/h - perfect for small study groups or friends who look forward to learning together!

Qualifications:
3 A*s at A Level - Biology, Chemistry, Maths
UCAT - 3050 Top 2% of results in 2020
3/4 Medicine university offers (UCL, King’s and Bristol).
GCSEs (9-1 GCSE)
- 8 9s including Chemistry, Biology, Maths, Physics and Mandarin
- 3 8s in Geography, English Literature and English Language
2018 Gold Biology Olympiad Award

I am also available for personal statement, UCAT and med school admissions advice, having myself received three offers for Medicine from UCL, King’s and Bristol. My UCAT score of 3050 places me well into the top 2% of the 2020 UCAT cohort (out of ~28,000 medical and dental candidates).

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have!

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: I have had 7 years of experience tutoring from 11+ students all the way to adult learners. This has allowed me to practice tailoring my approach to each students unique needs that help to simplify difficult concepts in easy ways.
