I have studied the most advanced tutoring methods that have been researched and have had success in using them for years now.
Having completed a Masters in Mathematics, I decided I wanted to share my passion for the subject and to help students in their studies.
I am very patient, and always match the material to the ability of the student so that they feel they are always learning and winning. It makes the lessons enjoyable and gives the student confidence in their abilities because they see for themselves that they can do it.
Availability: Daytime, evenings and weekends, any time.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I have tutored at university level, right down to 5 year old. To date I have over 1100 hours tutoring experience over the last 5 years, and am highly trained in one to one tuition. I have tutored subjects from biology, chemistry, physics and economics but my speciality is maths.

Met once for a trial session. Although we ended up engaging a different tutor it was a difficult decision to make as Richard was very helpful to my son even in that one session.

Richard has been a perfect tutor for my 7 year old. We specifically asked him to hold back on the formal maths that my son learns at school and concentrate more on the practical implications in the world around him.
Without pressure or expectation, he has made the subject fun and inspirational. My son was keen on maths before but now says he loves it.
Richard talks to him as an equal rather than a teacher which makes what he has to say even more appealing.
We have certainly benefitted from Richard`s specialism in Maths and Science at every level and he is certainly able to pass on this experience at every level.
We are very happy with him as a tutor.
