I have passion for Maths and Chemistry. These two subjects always have always fascinated me. Through my GCSEs and A-levels studies I have become deeply rooted to these two subjects. My commitment to these two subjects was reflected in the Southgate College Endeavour Award for Science and Maths that I received at the end of my GCSE course in 2009.
I am currently studying an online degree in Mathematics with University Of Houston System. In 2011 I was accepted at University of Queen Mary to study Biochemistry and in 2012 I was also accepted to study Maths and Biochemistry at East London University. However, I could not take up any of these opportunities because of my financial circumstances.
I speak English, French and eight African languages, and as an African in the UK have knowledge of two very different cultures. I am confident that these skills and experience will help me to communicate in the multi-lingual, multi-cultural environment of a modern, urban homes, colleges and schools.
I believe that I have the aptitude, drive, determination and dedication to become a tutor. 6 years ago, aged just 17, I arrived in this country, knowing no-one and speaking no English. I am proud of what I have achieved since then. I strongly believe that my skills, knowledge and abilities in Maths and chemistry will enable me to make a full and valuable contribution to your studies.
