Information about Amy

Experienced tutor in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English language and literature and French up to A-level/University standard and I am now also offering help with UKCAT revision and general applications to medicine (both undergraduate and graduate entry courses).

My background: I’ve have just finished my first year of a Graduate entry Medical Degree at King`s College London, having previously studied my BSc in Biochemistry at the University of Bath and an MSc in Clinical Neuroscience at UCL.

The success of my students is the most inspiring aspect of being a tutor. Life is about more than exams, but as we have to do so many of them, I will help to guide your child through tough exam and application processes as well as teaching the content of their subjects, as good exam technique and proficiency in a subject are very different aspects of learning. I will share what works from my experience, and that of teaching other students, to develop your child`s own techniques for success. My main aim is not only to allow my students to gain top grades but to enjoy their subjects.

I work with students that are confident in their subjects, and those who are less so. Where a student is finding a subject difficult, I aim to build confidence and go through content at their pace until they are happy they can tackle it alone.

My lessons are conducted in a relaxed, friendly environment for students of all ages. I have a down to earth humour and I thoroughly enjoy getting to know my students and their families over time and find it incredibly rewarding to see what people have achieved after tutoring.

Happy to be contacted on a week by week basis to organise lessons flexibly. Please send me a message to let me know what you would like to get out of tutoring.
