Information about Nicky
I am a qualified maths teacher and SENCO as well as a mother of 3. I enjoy teaching my subject and do so with an approach that encourages students to build confidence and self-belief. I like my students to enjoy learning maths as a life skill whilst appreciating the beauty of the subject.
I offer lessons online only at the current time but hope to resume face-to-face lessons as soon as possible. Online lessons work well and I use a variety of resources and software - just as in any lesson.
Availability: Weekday evenings after 7pm and Saturday and Sunday mornings 9am-1pm.

Experience: I have a degree in Maths and qualified as a secondary maths teacher in 1995. I have experience of teaching maths at all levels. As well as a practising teacher, I am currently an examiner for A-Level Maths and Further Maths. My insight from being an examiner helps me to guide students to do themselves justice in exams.

My daughter is gaining in confidence already, after only a month of Nicky`s tutoring. She finds the clear explanations and Nicky`s patient approach really helpful. Really pleased.

My daughter lacked confidence in her ability to do well in maths after such a long time out of school. She worked hard to move up into set one but felt she lost some ground during the lockdown period. Her lessons with Nicky is such a great help and support, my only regret is that we didn`t start earlier. Nicky explains the work well and is very good at targeting those weaker areas. My daughter is much more confident and is doing well in her maths assessments. We can already see the improvement in her work and results since we started lessons. The online platform works well and we can recommend this tutor without any hesitation.

A highly qualified teacher with all the experience required . My daughter is very happy and has found her tutoring skills to be invaluable . I cannot praise her enough .
