Maths has always been a subject i enjoyed. My interest in the subject led me to go on to study Mathematics at degree level, which although very challenging, also very rewarding. Throughout the years, i`ve taught maths at all different levels, from KS1 to A-levels and always find myself coming back to teach.

Over the years i`ve picked up multiple teaching techniques and found that different students respond to approaches differently. A teaching style can be optimal for one student, while the same technique shows no progress for another. I feel it is important to identify which method suits which student the best and work to use them accordingly for the best results. I find that ensuring a students foundation of mathematics is solid is essential in allowing them to understand more complex topics.

Exams are unarguable the most stressful part of educations. Ive sat uncountable numbers of exams over the years and still i`m met with stress and nerves when exam period rolls around. i`ve learned that being the most prepared you can be is really the only thing you can do when it comes to exams as nerves are inevitable. Understanding every topic and practising every style of question is crucial. Effort and outcome come hand in hand.
