Hayley

I am a trainee Secondary Science teacher, with a degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Sheffield.

I am friendly and enthusiastic, with a strong work ethic which I role model to my students. I enjoy teaching students to develop their learning skills, as well as improving their knowledge and interest in the subject/s.

Through my experiences as a tutor, I have found students learn best when they have built rapport with their tutor, and are comfortable to make mistakes and ask questions to improve their learning.

Availability: I am available evenings and weekends during term-time, and also daytimes in the school holidays.

Experience: Since graduating from University, I have managed a tuition centre for 4-14 year olds, that builds children’s core maths and English skills in line with the national curriculum, helping them gain confidence and enjoy learning.

I managed centres in Essex, London and Sheffield, which has given me excellent experience of local entrance exams and the 11 plus tests. I myself attended Townley Grammar School for Girls in Kent.

Along with my degree in Biomedical Science, I have A-levels in Biology, Chemistry and History, with As-levels in Maths and Italian. I have an A grade GCSE in Astronomy from The Royal Observatory, Greenwich.

I am currently training to teach Secondary Science (Ages 11-18), with specialism in Biology.
