Teaching is still my passion, I have always - and still do - work mostly with children experiencing a particular problem in their learning. It is my job to take away that problem.

I find that pupils working with me appreciate the challenge, as I insist on them doing the work, but the atmosphere is always quite light-hearted.

I trained as a general subjects teacher, with additional languages. Over the last years I have concentrated on the main problems: maths and English. I am still happy to support with German, Spanish and French.

Availability: I currently have some availability for telephone tutoring. I am surprised how well this works with my current students. I may also be able to do face to face, depending on your location.

Normally, I never teach in my own home. It works better to travel to yours.

Experience: I have taught KS2 to KS5, working with students from all over the world. I love the challenge of working 1 to 1 and especially the success that follows.

I have worked in a range of comprehensive schools and academies, have published text books to make learning a more positive and successful experience, worked as a GCSE examiner and now tutor as my main employment.

As exams change, demands on students change, but I have an ability to make learning accessible. I love working 1:1 or with small groups.
