I`m currently on a gap year and have a place to study Biology at the University of Bristol. I have completed my A-levels in Biology, Chemistry and Maths, with grades of A*,A,A. I am a keen student as well as tutor, so will always work hard alongside the student in order to ensure that they are fully engaged and confident with the concept that we are covering.
I am passionate about the sciences, and understand that it can be challenging to tackle the weight of the content at GCSE and A-level, and am eager to share both my teaching as well as study skills that really worked for me in order to achieve high grades and get into university.
I am friendly and approachable and am able to clearly articulate how the student should improve. I am experienced in helping devise plans for people who are struggling in certain areas.
I think that a tutor should be a good study support, and I am enthusiastic to encourage my students to work towards an achievable future goal.
I am happy to teach people of all ages, up to A-Level!
Availability: I am very flexible - just contact me to arrange a time, I look forward to hearing from you !
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I volunteered as a Maths mentor for a year 10 student, helping her with GCSE problems that were causing problems.
I`ve also tutored in GCSE French, for both groups and individuals. I planned tasks that focused on weaker topics in order to improve both their language skills and confidence.
In addition I have done work experience in a primary school working with younger children where I was responsible for leading small literacy and maths groups.
