Hi, I`m Claire and I`ve been an English Language and Literature teacher for the past 14 years!

Availability: Monday to Saturday

5pm-10pm

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: I have taught English Language and English Literature at KS3 and KS4 and English Literature at KS5 for the past 12 years. I have been a Head of English of 4 years and Assistant Head in charge of whole school literacy for the past two- so I am fully aware of the strategies required to ensure pupils can write with fluency and confidence. I have taught and written SOW on the new curriculum for both my English department and online teaching platforms, so I fully understand the demands on pupils and the skills pupils are required to have. I`ve also taught Philosophy for Children to KS3 pupils for the past 2 years, a programme where pupils` higher order thinking skills are developed. Alongside all of this I have taught a range of pupils and am experienced in teaching EAL, SEN and G and T pupils.
