Information about Manas

I am a Graduate Chemical Engineer and Masters of Business Administration, having worked with the top notch energy consultants of the world as a senior consultant.
Apart from Engineering, my other passion is for Maths, for which I am offering tuition for students ranging from 11+ to GCSE Levels.
As a Maths lover, I believe that this wonderful subject offers a lot of opportunity to cultivate my creativity. In that respect the subject of Mathematics provides more avenues for Lateral Thinking.

My prime objective of tutoring would be to generate a passion for Maths among the tutees.
This can be achieved by making Maths more interesting so that the tutees do not have a feeling of compulsion just to complete the topics within the syllabus. Maths should be made more interesting and thought provoking that would influence the tutees to love the subject and generate a passion for Maths. Providing a bit of informal teaching by giving a logical reasoning or solving puzzles at the end of each session would stimulate the thinking mind of the tutees, which I believe would ultimately make the topics within the syllabus more attractive to them and not just some boring pieces of shapes, numbers, formula, etc.

BACKGROUND:
Graduate Chemical Engineer and Masters of Business Administration with experience in working with the leading Engineering Consultants of the world engaged in delivering projects from Concept to Commissioning for the leading global energy companies in the Oil and Gas, Refining and Petrochemical sectors.
Experience covering a wide range of activities involving complex engineering calculations and macro level systems design. Engineering calculations comprised of Fluid Dynamics, Mass, Heat and Energy Balances, Thermodynamic calculations, sizing of equipment of various shapes, etc. These calculations involve a high level of mathematical application comprising Geometry, Trigonometry, Algebra, Calculus and Statistics.

Curriculum in Chemical Engineering included numerous applications of Mathematics and Physical Sciences, e.g. Fluid Mechanics, Momentum, Energy and Mass Transfer phenomenon, Thermodynamics, Chemical Technologies, etc.

As an Engineering Team Leader I had direct involvement in mentoring junior engineers reporting to me, guiding them through their training programs and help them to develop engineering skills. I have the distinction of leading a team of up to 15 engineers.

As a Master in Business Administration, I have acquired the skills of general management, which has helped me in developing my administrative capabilities of man management, which would surely help in mentoring and tutoring.
