Maths is a passion of mine and I love helping students to love it as much as I do. I`m an extremely friendly and patient person, in my final year studying BSc Mathematics at Queen Mary University of London, and will put in maximum effort to help yourself/your child with their studies. At the moment I am tutoring both young and mature students GCSE Maths in the East London area and have had very positive feedback from them all. I`m repeatedly told I`m making a massive impact to their learning, so much so that one family has now got me to tutor her younger daughter too! Since then they have been moved to the top set at school. I genuinely can`t think of a better feeling other than knowing I`m making a difference and helping someone achieve what they are capable of!

I completely understand the ups and downs involved in education and how much pressure there is to excel in exams, therefore I always take time to understand the individual, and tailor my teaching to them. I am aware that every individual absorbs information differently and believe that it is not always enough for lessons to be generalised to a classroom of different strengths and abilities, which is why I think one-to-one interaction is so powerful. In understanding this and the current education system, I think it sets me apart from a lot of other tutors.

It is also worth noting that I spend a lot of time preparing each lesson and will organise them in a way to maximise productivity without rushing anything and leaving plenty of time for any queries and further explanations and examples. I have a natural way of communicating maths and use a lot of helpful and relevant "tricks" in my teaching that I have been taught by my mother as a child, that my pupils have always loved so I aim to continue adopting these methods with future clients.

Experience: Other than actively tutoring GCSE Maths, I also worked in a Primary School for a year during Sixth Form and ran my own maths workshops during lessons for small groups. In addition to this, I worked in a Year 9 Maths class at my grammar school where I assisted GCSE Prep lessons.
At the moment I am doing a placement at Tower Hamlets College, here I work in an AS-Level class and also spend a few hours mentoring both GCSE and A-level students.
I have A-Grade GCSE and A-Level Maths Grades, as well as a C in Further Mathematics and am in my final year at Queen Mary University for a BSc in Mathematics.
