Excellent tutor who has delivered motivating and consistent tuition in Maths... highly recommended
Unfortunately the experience with the tutor wasn`t too friendly and I`m pasting here an open letter sent to the tutor as well.
Thank you for the few weeks you have tutored the kids.
We had hoped you would be able to teach them for four hours every week like this for 10 months .
However due to the hostility Mme Willner experienced today we have decided to not extend the working period beyond today.
It is unfortunate that you preferred to be paid in advance and that we preferred to pay you after each class due to bad experiences on both sides
We always paid you as requested via Bank Transfer from our Building Society accounts where the money for the Children s education is held . Sometimes this meant payments took longer or shorter times to transact .
We suggested you open a PayPal account so that we could make instant payments to you but you also declined.
Today Mme Willner requested to see you to begin paying you in cash for speed and less stress from you after you refused to start the lesson until the bank transfer had cleared into your account via the Children
Mme feels it was very unprofessional and unreasonable to include or involve the Children.
Today you were hostile and rude to her as she looked for me to confirm payment amounts due to you and to access the money from her safe.
There is an obvious and an instant dislike or prejudice against Mme from you and she no longer wishes to continue to work with you.
We will not be expecting to see you again
Tutors Response :
I have never experienced having to ask so many times to get paid, and getting paid late. Or having to wait after the session for up to half hour to get paid.
Also, this was not a 10 month arrangement (only it was said to negotiate a lower rate), the children after a few classes mentioned that the mother was sending them back to school after the holidays, which was contrary to what she told me that they would be home-tutored for a year.
This was my response to them:
Zac and Magdalene are great kids, that is what matters, the rest is less important.
I have never had issues with any other family of having to continuously remind them to get paid, it may be best for both us if it is to much to pay on time.
I am sure you will find another suitable tutor.
Wish you all the very best,
