I am a friendly, patient, and enthusiastic tutor, passionate about both life and physical sciences. I have a BSc in Chemistry (2:1) from Durham University, and an MSc in Wildlife Science & Policy from Newcastle University. Having now graduated, I am looking to restart my tutoring career. I have always enjoyed sharing my enthusiasm for science with others, helping them to both understand and enjoy Biology and Chemistry.

My tutoring experience includes:
- Tutoring three students for GCSE Chemistry (whilst I was doing my A levels)
- Mentoring university applicants when I was studying my BSc
- Writing A level revision material for a mainstream revision website
- Tutoring a GCSE student for Biology & Chemistry whilst I was studying my masters
- Working as a support tutor for A level Chemistry Webinars during lockdown

I tend to tailor my tutoring style to whatever works best for the student. Typically, I work through past papers with my students, give them lessons on topics they want to look over, and give advice regarding revision and exam techniques.

From my own experience, I know how frustrating and difficult it can be to tackle complex scientific concepts. I believe that success in GCSE and A level science lies in understanding the fundamental concepts and mastering exam technique.

For Chemistry A level, I know AQA, Edexcel and OCR exam boards extremely well, as I spent last summer writing revision material for a mainstream revision website.

Availability: I`m available consistently at any time on weekends, and weekday afternoons after 3pm.

Experience: I achieved A* grades in A level and GCSE Chemistry & Biology, and I have tutored 4 students for GCSE Chemistry in the past, helping one turn a C grade into an A grade after just a few weeks. I spent last summer writing revision content for an A level revision website, so I am thoroughly familiar with the AQA, Edexcel and OCR exam boards for Chemistry A level. I have additional experience mentoring students with university applications, and when I was at school I also mentored at the Maths help club.
