Information about Iona

Hi, my name`s Iona, and I teach trumpet, piano and music theory. All ages and abilities welcome! I`ve a music degree from the Royal Academy of Music, an LRAM teaching diploma, and 5 + years of performing and teaching experience.

I have a hands on and flexible approach, suited to those going through the grades to others just wanting to be able to play James Bond!

Please feel free to get in touch with any questions.

Availability: Flexible, can teach weekdays or evenings to suit. I also teach the occasional weekend.

Willing to travel: 4 miles

Experience: I have more than 5 years teaching experience, across all ages and abilities. I currently teach for over 12 hours a week, with pupils ranging from 6 years old to 64! I also have extensive experience working with those who have disabilities.

Iona is an extremely good tutor.
She has placed much emphasis on breathing techniques
which I have found helpful and I understand the importance of this in terms of being able to successfully play an instrument.I am looking forward to further lessons and am very confident in Iona,s tutoring ability to help me reach my goals.I would most certainly recommend Iona to someone looking for a trumpet tutor.
