I am a retired secondary school English teacher. I taught in a wide range of secondary schools for 20 years and held a variety of posts rising to Head of English in a large, mixed secondary school. I now tutor across the age & ability range from 11 plus to GCSE English. My specialised knowlege is in the AQA GCSE Syllabus in English & English Literature. I have always achieved excellent results.

Availability: I am available weekdays during the day and after school. I prefer to tutor at the beginning of the week. I am now based at home and no longer travel to teach as I find it`s not an efficient use of my time.

Experience: As stated above, I have taught in both mixed and single sex (girls) secondary schools. I have been Head of EAL, Second in the English Department and also Head of English. I spent many years teaching in Richmond schools, The Lady Eleanor Holles School and my last job was at a girls` school in Wimbledon.
