HSK 1 covers 150 words. You’ll be able to understand and use very simple Chinese phrases to make simple conversations on self-introduction, expression of gratitude and apology, numbers, time and date, weather
Hi! I am a friendly, thoughtful and patient Mandarin native speaker and I am very experienced in teaching. I used to work for a Chinese School with students ranging from 4 months old to adult level. Now I have private students, mostly adult professionals including business owner, government officer, medical doctor, software engineer, accountant, film maker, lawyer, financial analyst, banker, PhD student etc. Most of my students have individual learning goals and they are happy with the classes I designed for them. I can teach both traditional and simplified Chinese, both pinyin and Zhuyin systems depending on students` needs.
I also work with children for more than 8 years and I really love it!
I think learning should be both fun and useful! I will help you to achieve your personal goal in learning Mandarin!
* I`m also very good at helping students to prepare for language exams, such as GCSE, IGCSE, IB, SAT, HSK, etc. I enjoy working with highly motivated students!
Availability: My hour rate is £40/hr + transportation. There is a £5 discount if you do more frequent lessons.
I`m happy to travel to you if my transportation fee could be covered. Alternatively, we could have lessons in the library near me. The transportation fee can be waived if you do more frequent or long lessons.

Experience: I`m also a professional counseling psychologist and did my PhD in the department of Educational Psychology at UCL. I have 3 years of experience being a lecturer. The audience was mostly professional mental health workers, university students or postgraduates.

Wen laoshi is a really good tutor! My partner and I are taking lessons together and she`s more advanced at Mandarin than I am, but Wen does a good job of helping us both learn at the same time yet at our own pace.
