Hi there! I just graduated from University College London (recently ranked the 8th best university in the World), with a first class honours Maths and English Literature joint honours degree. In both my first and second years, I was awarded the prize for the highest mark in my cohort (around 130 students). I am now studying for a PhD in Computer Science (specialising in Speech and Language Technologies) at the University of Sheffield.

I believe in building strong foundations, which gives students the confidence to approach problems independently.

I`ve been a musician my whole life, playing as principal bassonist in the UCL Symphony Orchestra and conducting the UCL A Cappella choir, The Eustones. In my spare time I`m learning the viola, I love to read, and I make a lot of my own clothes. I also recently adopted a puppy, Henry!

Experience: I`ve tutored a variety of ages - from 9 to 19. I also worked as an Au pair to three Spanish children through June 2017, caring for them daily and teaching basic English and language skills. At university I passed the ELE B2 Spanish examination, an above A-level qualification demonstrating my conversational fluency and competence with the language.

I work as a Teaching Assistant in various Computer Science undergraduate modules, teaching both fundamental mathematics and key computer programming skills. My preferred programming language is Python, but I’ve also worked with MATLAB, Javascri pt, PHP and a few others. I’m currently writing some tutorials on building Neural Network models from scratch using PyTorch.
