Information about Tabatha
I began tutoring whilst studying for my PhD and therefore I have circa. 10 years teaching experience on a private basis. I cover all the main examination boards (AQA, EDEXEL and OCR) and I have a extremely high success rate, with lots of recommendations from the parents of tutees. I have helped many of my students obtain A grades. I have also designed lab-based projects for BSc students during my scientific training, and have helped in many undergraduate laboratory demonstrations.
Focus on exam technique, and work through past exam papers. Have a knack of explaining more complicated topics in an easily digestible manner with reference to syllabus content. Set homework in the form of exam style questions. Aim to improve students` confidence as well as knowledge and understanding. Also help with (but do not do for the student!) coursework and lab reports.
I have taught some students from GCSE through to A-levels. I have a relaxed, flexible yet effective approach to teaching, which I believe is why my students stick with me. I am very adaptive to the individual needs of the client.
Availability: Evenings & Weekends at the students` home.
I tend to be fairly popular and many of my students stay with me for the duration of their course.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: Over 10 years & have taught over 60 students. Majority of students have achieved either A/B grades at A-level and A grades at GCSE-levelContact this Tutor
