I am a friendly, approachable teacher who supports and challenges her tutees. I have an excellent understanding of mathematics and how students learn mathematics. I am able to identify misconceptions through questioning and I am able to explain concepts through different approaches to help embed a deeper understanding quickly.

Experience: I have been teaching A level maths in East London for 7 years, specialising in pure and stats but I also have some experience with mechanics.I have been teaching for 11 years in total with 9 years experience in teaching A level maths.Teaching the new A level to three different groups for the past three years has given me an excellent understanding of the demands on students of the new curriculum. Many students I have taught have gone on to get top grades in mathematics.

I am currently an examiner for Edexcel GCSE maths.

I studied mathematics at Manchester University, achieving a 2:1 with honours. Before training to teach with Teach First, I worked in the financial sector at the Bank of New York and Barclays.
