Information about Richard

I graduated from the Slade School of Fine Art in 2008. Since then I have exhibited widely and kept up a regular studio practice. I have taught Art at all levels, from young children through to adults; I teach regularly at the Royal Drawing School and I am now studying for an MA in Painting at the Royal College of Art.

Please note: due to the current pandemic I am only offering online teaching, at a lower rate of £20 per hour instead of £35.

Availability: I am available for online teaching 7 days per week.

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: I have extensive experience teaching Painting, Drawing and stop-motion Animation to young people. I currently teach on a Foundation Course in Fine Art. Among other things, this involves helping students to create a strong portfolio for progression, widening their understanding of Art History and writing their UCAS references. I have taught privately and at a number of institutions.

Richard is a great art tutor: he is relaxed, patient with youngsters and could adapt the class to my son`s needs and interest. He made useful recommendations and was able to guide my son`s enthusiasm. I could not recommend him more.

Richard is very knowledgable and professional and also a nice and kind person. He helps my son with his A levels and to prepare a portfolio for his foundation and we can`t thank him enough for his help.
