Hi,

My name is Nick and I am a biologist. I have a PhD in zoology from Cambridge University and currently work for The Royal Society. I have published children`s science books, worked for the Natural History Museum London and occasionally appear on CBBC science shows. I have been tutoring for ten years.

I am friendly and believe that learning is not one-size-fits-all. I tailor-make sessions based on the requirement and needs of the individual student.

Availability: I am available evenings Monday to Friday, from 5.45pm.

Willing to travel: 2 miles

Experience: I have been tutoring students for ten years. This has included Cambridge undergraduates, Cambridge entrance, and most recently, GCSE and A level. I also have extensive experience working with Key Stage 1-3, both in a tutoring setting, and through science outreach: museum projects, talks at science festivals, running the Young Zoologist Club in Cambridge and nature walks (particularly bat spotting!)

While my main subject is science, I also tutor maths up to key stage 2, and English up to 11 Plus.

I am very familiar with 11 plus and 7 plus requirements as well as SATs. I have taught OCR, iGCSE and AQA at GCSE level, as well as OCR and AQA A level.

For the past year, I have helped a GCSE student with homework and support across the curriculum, including art, French, English language and history.
