I have a passion for teaching technology, maths and meditation. I have successfully helped many students, become proficient in these subject areas.
I started programming computers when I was ten years old (I programmed assembly language / machine code known as 6502). I did this until 18 years old, then started my Computer Science degree at Loughborough University.
My favourite subject at school was Maths. I absolutely loved it. However, I noticed that some of my classmates had a phobia of maths, so I got asked a lot for help throughout my school and university years. I remember talking to a gardener once, who was helping out my friend`s grandmother. He asked me some questions about waves (physics questions). He then told me he was rubbish at Maths. I asked him whether he had considered whether he was truly bad at maths, or maybe his teachers at school just weren`t good at teaching it! Within 30 minutes I had taught him binary arithmetic... he was beaming ear to ear. This is when I noticed I had a passion for giving people confidence in a subject (also known as tutoring!).
After my degree I spent many years working in Cambridge as a software engineer. I later became interested in tutoring, as I preferred more interaction with people.

Brilliant tutor. Mike tutored me in C++ programming, and was great at explaining core programming concepts. Highly recommended. Plan on having some more sessions next month!
