I am a retired maths teacher with over 35 years of teaching to A-level & beyond. For the past 15 years, I have been a senior examiner for Edexcel in AS and A-level Mathematics.
I am the co- author of two maths textbooks in Technical Mathematics for students in Further Education.
Past students tell me that I have a patient & relaxed attitude to learning. I do try & maintain a focused approach believing that, in mathematics, students learn by solving problems rather than merely reading their notes. Hence most of our time is spent working on past exam papers whether for A-level or GCSE.

Availability: I am available at any time (subject to negotiation with the student). I have tutored a number of students at QE VIth Form College, Darlington & Richmond School &, where possible, try to arrange sessions during free periods or breaks.

Willing to travel: 20 miles

Experience: 3 years as an Instructor Officer in the Royal Navy.
1 year as a teacher in a Comprehensive school teaching to A-level
32 years teaching in various Colleges of Further Education on courses ranging from basic maths, GCSE, A-level to HND.
