I am a composer and musician with a BA Hons in Actor Musicianship from Rose Bruford College I have been playing a wide range of instruments to a good standard my whole life I also have experience performing in several ensembles bands and as a soloist in a variety of styles such as classical orchestral music jazz blues bluegrass and pop As a result of this I have a considerable understanding of different musical styles and can teach all of them in a way that can be understood by both children and adults

As a teacher I am very versatile and can teach composition arranging music theory and the practical skills of playing instruments Because of my career as a performer I can also teach the often forgotten about skill of how to perform

Its important to realise that everyone learns differently so I adapt myself to suit the students particular needs and plan each lesson carefully thereafter. While I ensure strong foundations are built and maintained I always focus on progressing my students at a good rate whilst having great fun.

I source relevant pieces my students want to play and can guide them towards what they want to achieve. Whether it is to develop musical skills preparation for grade exams or learn for the sheer enjoyment of music I can offer enjoyable fulfilling and rewarding lessons for all ages

Experience: Last year I composed musically directed and conducted a musical that was performed at Londons Lost Theatre. I started teaching after I graduated from Rose Bruford College two years ago. At the moment I am only teaching privately but I have experience teaching groups in both music and other subjects like drama.
