Hello, I’m Amy. I’ve just started a Masters in Museum Studies at Glasgow and I’m looking to tutor school pupils in my free time. I recently graduated from the University of St. Andrews studying Classical Studies and Latin and so I have a lot of experience with writing essays and presentations for a variety of subjects, and I am used to doing comprehensions, close readings and language analysis on a regular basis. I know from personal experience that the preparation for SQA exams and applying to universities can be very stressful for pupils and parents alike, and I would be more than happy to assist in making this experience a little bit easier.

Availability: Weekday evenings, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, and daytime on Saturdays.

Willing to travel: 15 miles

Experience: As part of my undergraduate I was involved in organising and supervising some trips, classes and workshops for both primary and secondary school pupils which aimed to teach them about local history, Classics and art. I really enjoyed the time that we were able to spend working with the children in these workshops and having the chance to talk about these subjects with them. Also, when I was in high school I was involved with tutoring and mentoring some of the younger pupils and helping them to cope with their workload as they started secondary school.
