Information about Ned

Hi!

My name is Ned and I`ve been playing guitar for 13 years, both at home and professionally.

I trained in Actor-Musicianship at London`s Rose Bruford College, where I honed my craft on guitar. Since graduating in 2015, I have worked professionally as an actor-musician, performing in theatres around the UK and in London, alongside many other great musicians.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: I have experience teaching students of all ages and competencies, so I can adapt to your needs! I would be looking to first develop fundamental techniques on guitar, setting you up with solid foundations before progressing at a steady pace. Most importantly, making sure you have fun in each and every lesson, as this is what music-making is all about!

My musical influences lie in jazz and blues, as this is what I grew up listening to. Some of the guitarists I have been most influenced by include: Stevie Ray Vaughan, B.B King, Eric Clapton, John Mayer, Django Reinhardt and Prince. I am not bound to these styles, however, as I am passionate about most musical genres, so whatever you`d like to play - we can play it.

Some areas that you might like to cover that I have particular expertise in are:
* Improvisation
* Basic/Intermediate/Advanced Chords
* Soloing/Lead Guitar
* Rhythm Guitar
* Music Theory/Jazz concepts

Of course, you may be a complete novice just looking to get to grips with the basics of guitar - I can help with that too. Anything from very basic to intermediate playing, I can guide you through key techniques at concepts your own pace. Right from learning your first chord to your seventieth solo!
