Information about Isobel

Currently I am studying my Masters at UCL in Biomedical Engineering; I obtained a First in my first three years. During the Summer I assisted at variety of summer schools which developed my skills with motivating children and encouraging them to participate in tasks. With the summer schools I completed with UCL, I obtained a good knowledge of what University tutors are looking for in applicants and the importance of having a good knowledge of pre-University curriculium. In my spare time I enjoy exploring what London has to offer with my friends, cooking and going to the gym.

Availability: I am available most of the time.

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: I have some tutoring experience and regularly help my friends at University with any Mathematics and Scientific questions. Whilst in Upper Sixth I was part of a Mathematics Buddy Scheme where we were assigned to a younger student and would regularly meet up with them to review their work. I have also tutored a boy GCSE mathematics who was on the Autism spectrum. Primiarly we focused on improving his style of answering the question to obtain the most marks and his general exam technique. It was important to explain topics in a variety of ways to comprehend his understanding.
