Feedback for our tutors in from previous students
"On first contacting Tutor Hunt Chantelle replied to my message very quickly. Chantelle assisted me greatly in both National 5 Biology and English. She made me feel very confident in both subjects. Chantelle tutored me from my home and was always on time. She even stayed with me longer than she needed to. Chantelle made me feel at ease right away and I will certainly contact her again in the New Year prior to sitting Higher English."

"A few months ago and for the first time I found myself searching for a private teacher for English for my daughter. Although various people had made certain recommendations; I like to do my own research. Frankly I was amazed at the number of people offering tuition; from people who had recently passed an exam or exams to those who offered decades of experience. In my opinion having studied a subject doesnt necessarily mean that you can teach that subject. Indeed even being qualified to teach with years of experience doesnt make you a great teacher and over the years like any other trade/profession I have seen good, bad and mediocre. Nigel is a refreshing change and most definitely a great teacher. He has a very personable nature which lends itself to putting both parent and student at ease. He will gain a thorough understanding of the student in terms of knowledge, understanding, strengths/weaknesses and aspirations; and then tailor the delivery of his teaching to meet those needs whilst maintaining a very precise focus of what is required to meet the specification of the examination board and the examiner. Nigels inimitable style and mellifluous voice relaxes the student and they are then better able to focus on understanding and learning rather than panicking, which in turn build confidence. Combining this with Nigels subject expertise can in my opinion only ever result in solid progress and improvement. "

"I was looking for a 1-1 tutor to help my daughter with the 11+ GL, CEM and Newstead Woods exams this coming September. My daughter is quite shy, but she instantly felt comfortable in Samias lessons. Samia is a fantastic tutor, clear, concise, focused and thorough, whilst at the same time being patient and kind. Samia assesses your child to ensure the right areas are focused on in all subjects and tailors the lessons weekly, to target any weak spots in these areas. Although our focus is comprehension, vocab and VR, I have often asked Samia to go through some specific Maths concepts, which she has allocated time to go through these concepts to ensure they are clear. I am really pleased I found Samia, knowing my daughter has these 1-1 lessons each week with a qualified tutor is reassuring and has massively helped build my daughters confidence. I highly recommend Samia to anyone looking to enhance and expand their childs abilities."

"Leah has been tutoring my son weekly for the last 4 years in English and Maths, supporting from KS2 into KS3. She quickly established a connection with my son, who completely lacked any confidence at school complicated by specific learning difficulties, including dyslexia. Leah is extremely patient and flexible in her approach, and has tailored the learning to my son`s needs and learning style in both subjects. His understanding and confidence increased enormously and we highly recommend her."
