Feedback for our Music tutors from previous students

"Wilf has been very professional and helpful to Jaiden, GCSE student (Year 11). Wilf has guided Jaiden is both Music theory and French to support him in revision for GCSEs. Both of these have not been Jaiden’s strongest subjects, however Wilf has helped Jaiden to improve in both subjects for example by explaining how to apply the music theory to listening tasks and techniques and strategies for managing the spoken element of the French assessment. I would highly recommend Wilf for both Music and French."
 Feedback for Wilf
"Aimee is an intelligent, knowledgable and well prepared tutor. She takes the time to provide materials every week in advance of each lesson. It is clear that she knows the syllabus inside out and adjusts her teaching to the needs of the individual child. My daughter has learned so much with her and looks forward to her lessons every week. As a parent I could not ask for more."
 Feedback for Aimee
"My son thoroughly enjoys the lessons, and looks forward to them."
 Feedback for Damien
"Ethne has been very proactive from the first lesson. She has a very nice approach and my daughter felt very relaxed with her and her confidence in her GCSE music revision has much improved with only the first few lessons. Ethne has adapted very well to my daughter`s needs and she is very flexible to work around her timetable to accommodate us. I would have no hesitation to recommend Ethne. Thank you"
 Feedback for Ethne
"James is an excellent tutor. My son has found him incredibly helpful in his A level studies. Jame`s clear explanations and the way he unpicks complex topics has helped my son`s confidence. I would highly recommend him."
 Feedback for James
"Helen is always very enthusiastic about her music and anything else she undertakes. She encourages her pupils to do their very best and helps them to fulfill their potential. I would have no hesitation in recommending her services as she always carries these out in a truly professional manner."
 Feedback for Margaret
"Imogen is a brilliant teacher. She is a highly skilled performer as well as teacher and adapts her lessons well to suit all ages and abilities. She really cares about her students and is very encouraging in lessons. She is patient, trustworthy and very professional. Would definitely recommend!"
 Feedback for Kirsty
"I trained with Richard on the Masters programme at Mountview Academy and he was a wonderful person to work alongside. He brought personality and life to a rehearsal room. He always arrived punctually and dedicated himself completely to the work in hand. When working on bigger projects, Richard always did the extra work at home to ensure that what he brought to the room was well-informed and could be explored in more depth. From conversations with him about his time before Mountview I also came to learn of his genuine passion for teaching and the importance of what makes a good working environment for both teacher and student. Richard took a particular interest in Maslow`s hierarchy of needs when studying for his PGCE which enabled him to find ways to ensure that his students wer..."

Students of GCSE and A-Level music often have a passion for the subject and a natural flair for playing a particular instrument. The course requires students to have an aptitude for performing, composing and listening plus they get to learn about new advances in music technology as well. Most, if not all A-Level music students will have a career in mind and these can include things like professional musician, music teacher, composer, and positions within the music industry. Alternatively music can be taken as a complimentary A-Level which bolsters the student's main subjects, some of which include media studies, art, drama and theatre studies.
