Students who choose to take drama tend to have a leaning for the arts and although the course is theatre based there is also a lot of study involved. Students learn to act, direct and put on their own performances and as such many progress into the world of theatre through university degrees. Complimentary GCSE and A-Levels include media studies, music, English and art although drama can also be taken as a contrasting subject to enhance university applications. There are numerous options available for graduates including careers like acting, directing, stage management, set design and script writer.
