A-Level astronomy is not for the faint hearted as the course requires a lot of commitment throughout. Saying that, it is an absolutely fascinating subject and the majority of students who take the course go on to exciting careers which include such jobs as astrophysicists, specialists and lecturers, and of course astronomers. Unfortunately the number of colleges that currently offer A-Level astronomy is quite limited however more names are added each year. Students who sit astronomy often take maths, physics, chemistry and IT as well so that they have a full and varied knowledge ready for university. For further help, view our Astronomy Tutors below;
